چکیده

An analytical investigation on the nonlinear response of doubly curved panels constructed from homogeneous face sheets and carbon nanotube reinforced composite (CNTRC) core subjected to external pressure in thermal environments is presented this paper. Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are into layer through uniform or functionally graded distributions. The properties constituents assumed be temperature dependent effective CNTRC determined using an extended rule mixture. Governing equations established within framework first order shear deformation theory taking account geometrical imperfection, von Kármán–Donnell nonlinearity, panel-foundation interaction elasticity tangential edge restraints. These solved approximate solutions Galerkin method for simply supported panels. results reveal that load carrying capacity sandwich stronger when boundary edges more rigorously restrained thicker. Furthermore, elevated has deteriorative beneficial influences bearing capability with movable edges, respectively.

Coupled Thermoelasticity Impact Response Analysis of Composite Plates with SMA Wires in Thermal Environments

Impact responses of rectangular composite plates with embedded shape memory alloy (SMA) wires are investigated in the present research. The plate is assumed to be placed in a thermal environment; so that in contrast to the available researches in the field, the shape memory and ferroelasticity effects have to be considered also in addition to the superelasticity. The governing equations are der...
